FORMER LDC STAR JASSEL PEREZ SELECTED IN NBA G LEAGUE DRAFT

Mexico City, November 18, 2022- Mexico City Captains selected Jassel Perez (195-G/F-2001) (born September 12, 2001 in the Dominican Republic) in pick 2 of the second round of the NBA G League draft back in October. Since the draft Perez is averaging 7.5 points per game on 66.7% shooting. This is very impressive for only 16 minutes per game. The Dallas Mavericks have been rumored to be interested in the future of the young Dominican star.

Perez played 21 games with Titanes de Licey in the 2021-22 season and averaged19.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. He was also named Rookie of the Year in the Dominican Basketball League in the same year. Before playing with the Titanes; Perez stared in the LDC Superior league with Del Patio. In 8 games her averaged an impressive 20.3ppg, 4.3rpg, 2.2apg, 1.0spg, FGP: 48.4%, 3PT: 36.8%, FT: 84.6%. Perez was later named Latinbasket.com All-Dominican Rep. LDC Team along with All-Star honors.
