LDC Round 3 of Regular Season

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Round 3 most important game was a victory of Immortals over Santiago Max120-100 on Saturday night. Immortals looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Santiago Max's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Immortals made 8 blocks. It was a good game for who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 assists. contributed with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners.  answered with 20 points and 7 rebounds for Santiago Max. Santiago Max's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Immortals are looking forward to face Bonao (#5) on the road in the next round. Santiago Max will play against Puerto Plata and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Important game to mention about took place in Santiago. Santiago Max (3-2) saved a 2-point derby victory at home edging LDC Ignite (3-3) 82-80 in the game for the second place. It was a great evening for who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points.  helped adding 15 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was  with 15 points and 6 rebounds. LDC Ignite's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Santiago Max will play against Puerto Plata (#4) on the road in the next round. LDC Ignite will play against San Sebastian and hopes to get back on the winning track.

A very close game took place in Puerto Plata between LDC Ignite and Puerto Plata. LDC Ignite (3-3) got a very close victory on the road over Puerto Plata (1-3). LDC Ignite managed to escape with a 1-point win 87-86 in the fight for the third place. It was an exceptional evening for  who led the winners and scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists.  came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists for Puerto Plata in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. LDC Ignite will meet at home San Sebastian (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Puerto Plata will play against Santiago Max (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 3 Bonao beat Santiago Max on the road 96-90. Puerto Plata won against Bonao on its own court 80-75.

The most impressive performance of 3rd round was 25 points and 10 assists by  of Immortals.

Santiago Max - Bonao 90-96

There was a small surprise when  (1-3) beat on the road  (3-2) 96-90 on Tuesday. It was an exceptional evening for who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. accounted for 12 points and 5 assists for the winning side.  came up with 20 points and  added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Santiago Max in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bonao will meet at home Immortals in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Santiago Max will play against Puerto Plata and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There was a minor upset when  (1-3) lost on the road to  (1-3) 80-75 on Wednesday. Puerto Plata looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for forward  (203-1997, college: ) who led the winners and scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Naturalized Venezuelan  (193-1980, college: ) accounted for 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and added 20 points respectively for Bonao in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Bonao's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Puerto Plata will meet at home Santiago Max in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bonao will play against Immortals and hope to win that game.
