The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Mambas (3-1) in Santiago on Friday night. Hosts were rolled over by Immortals (3-2) 97-75. Immortals outrebounded Mambas 47-32 including 22 on the offensive glass. Immortals looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American forward Tay Hall (197-2003, college: Gulf Coast CC) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Mark Hall (196-1994, college: St.Cloud St.) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Victor Torres (189-1995) answered with 31 points and 6 rebounds for Mambas. Another interesting game for Capitanes (2-3) which played in Santiago against Fenix (1-4). Capitanes won 67-58. It was a great evening for Francisco Germosen who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points. Alexis Castro helped adding 17 points. The best for the losing side was Albertson Pimentel (185) with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
A very close game took place in Santiago between CPN and Santiago Max. CPN (4-0) got a very close victory on the road over Santiago Max (0-4). CPN managed to escape with a 1-point win 69-68 on Thursday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It was an exceptional evening for Ronald Tineo who led the winners and scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Jhoan Pena came up with 10 points and 8 rebounds for Santiago Max in the defeat. CPN will meet at home Moca Superior in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. There were no big surprises in other games of round 3: Moca Superior beat Santiago Basket on the road 71-62. Capitanes won against Moca Superior on its own court 86-85. Immortals managed to outperform Fenix in Santiago 79-70.
The most impressive performance of 3rd round was 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists by Khalil Small of Immortals.

Santiago Basket - Moca Superior 62-71

No shocking result in a game when Moca Superior (4-1) beat on the road Santiago Basket (1-3) 71-62 on Thursday. It was an exceptional evening for guard Derekjeter Mejia (182-2001) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 4 assists. Luigi Rojas accounted for 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Amet Gil (191-1988) came up with 23 points and 5 rebounds and forward Jose Americo Delgado (193-1990) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Santiago Basket in the defeat. Moca Superior will meet CPN in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. There was a minor upset when Moca Superior (4-1) was edged by Capitanes (2-3) in Santiago 86-85 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for Joan Santos who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Francisco Germosen accounted for 23 points for the winning side. Guard Derekjeter Mejia (182-2001) came up with 20 points and 5 assists and Luigi Rojas added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Moca Superior in the defeat. Five Moca Superior players scored in double figures. Moca Superior's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Capitanes will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Moca Superior will play against CPN in Santiago and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Immortals looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Fenix's players. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Khalil Small (190-1995, college: Green Bay) who led the winners and scored 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Angel Rivas (198-1993) accounted for 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Immortals' coach Jermaine Barnes used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
